NDNQI Red Cap Skin Prevalence Study Announcement.
Skin Prevalence study (previous CALNOC) will resume for
the last 2 quarters of this year, 2021
The following dates are below:
September 21, 2021
October 19, 2021
We will faciliatte Virtual (all Online data
entry) for the Prevalence study as we move on.
The following general guidelines will be in placed:
•
Will exclude all COVID units (2T, , 6S) and any patients being ruled
out at the time of the study, including those PUI’s in non COVID unit at
time of study (based on each unit clinical decision)
•
SWAT team will use PPE as directed by facility guidelines
•
Will use REDCAP (all online NDNQI data entry)
Unit Managers
•
Please assign one SWAT member to attend each event:
1) Huddle (pre-study) - to obtain
necessary papers (attendance sheets, pink forms)
Location – 4East room 10 (computer room – 0700)
2) Verification (after study) – to hand out necessary papers
Location- 4 east room 10. (end time- 1100)
•
If possible assign a phone number and work station to the SWAT team in
case they will need to obtain assistance during the study. Please inform us in
return if this request is done so we can relay the details to the Quality
department and IT.
•
Make sure all the SWAT members will register in REDcap. Online data
entry is based on the SWAT members’ verification of email through REDCap.
SWAT Members
•
Verified
access to RedCAp
•
Only one SWAT will attend the huddle (0700) and verification of data
(after study). Location for the 2 months study will be held in 4EaST ROOM
10, computer room.
•
Please return only 2 forms, attendance sheet and the PINK form. QI
representative will be in attendance to receive these papers and verify end
data. Other provided materials do not need to be returned.
•
For any refusal please inform Unit manager.
•
For any suspected HAPI not confirmed before (all stages ) please
call the assigned Wound RN for the unit to verify before finalizing data
entry.
•
Social distancing and all recommended guidelines will be followed during
the study (huddle, during the study and after the study).
